Due to less use of film customers decreased but the percentage remains close to the same.

     We specialize in Kodak products including Recordak, Reliant and Imagelink, both microfilm, scanners and microfiche scanners. We service i810 and IMS.   Service, parts and technical support are available.      CompuTech has designed a low cost no maintenence printer emulation device for Kodak Digital Workstions or Workstation 2000 to do away with costly proprietary Printer 5  and Printer 7, expensive software licensing and redundant Kodak Gateway devices, and Network Node.  This also will let you convert your film to digital. This device will not require any software changes to the IDW.  This will cut our customers expenses and allow Windows standalone PC's or LANS to enhance, redirect and print on any printer.  Unlike the discontinued inferior Kodak printer enhancement we use a 100 speed ethernet with no changes to the IDW.  Installation is so easy anyone can install and be running in twenty minutes.  Scan to PC screen is 6 to seven seconds. The Kodak product will do well to run at 2 to 5MBs on your network and requires Lantastic which is no longer offering support or improvements.  Basically Kodak wants to get their server software in your system for future sales.

      The IMAGE INTERCEPTOR is available now for orders.  The product is over four years old without a service call.. We currently have other sold units at TN Dept. of Treasury, TN Dept. of Commerce & Insurance, American Community Insurance in MI and TN Dept. of Labor.  Software is available for customization to individual needs for a small fee or user may alter our application software as needed.  Please note that each IDW will require an Interceptor that includes the software package and must be running a Printer 5 or Printer 7.  Printer 3 machines can be updated. We have not tested with a run time IDW, but if it uses a Printer 5 then it should work. .(Run time is equipment without a hard drive and running on a floppy disk.)  This product will work with Windows 2000 and XP.(NT is not supported but could be added as an option)  A standard PC with an available PCI slot for our off the shelf Ethernet card or any ethernet adapter, 1 Gig RAM and 17 inch 1024/768 monitor is all you'll need.  You will be able to keep your ethernet LAN and our Ethernet running at the same time or use as a stand alone PC with printer.  The Interceptor has onboard memory capable of holding over 140 images which automatically download to the PC when the software is launched allowing the operator to continue scanning even when the LAN is or PC is down.  Our non invasive software and device have no security issues and do not require Lantastic or special obsolete ethernet pcb's as the Kodak product does. Why go to the IMS which requires expensive proprietary software. Kodak IMS is much more complicated to use and licensing cost a bundle.

      The customer will be able to file, print or print and file to any print manager device.(fax, email, etc.)  No changes to your current network is required as we use a customer selectable static IP address. This makes the Image Interceptor the most cost effective solution for your business.  Installation is simple and can be installed by anyone with a little computer savy.  Installation can also be arranged. By adding a network storage device, optical or hard drivethe entire network can have their own folder to store documents in for use.

       The savings in printer cost (electricity,paper,toner,consumables, etc.)  and maintenence alone will pay for this device.  Don't be held captive to proprietary equipment cost and service any longer.  There is also no yearly license renewal on our software.  Kodak IMS will cost 2 or 3 times as much with no more features than the Image Interceptor.  If your IDW has been maintained properly you still have many years of service left.  With technology changing so quickly why not update your present equipment rather than replace them when you have no clear gains by doing so. The State of TN has purchased 10 and never had a service problem.

       The Image Interceptor will do anything  the newer Kodak products claim to do without having to purchase proprietary accessories and expensive software.  We will gladly let you talk to any of our customers about their satifaction.
